ODBC Support Added to averSQL

averSQL version 8.2.0 is available and with it, support for any ODBC data source. Download the latest version here.

averSQL - Now available for SQL Anywhere, SAP ASE and SQL Server

averSQL  (pronounced ey-ver-S-Q-L) is the successor to QweryBuilder. It's initial release had a more narrow and focused goal than QweryBuilder did; to give SQL Anywhere and SAP ASE developers a better alternative to iSQL. The thought was that by focusing on these two databases (which don't have a great vendor produced alternative) we could make averSQL a leader in the market. After going live, we received a lot of feedback. It turns out that SQL Server was also used by a lot by people who used SQL Anywhere and SAP ASE. So, to make it a complete package, SQL Server support was added.

Going forward, focus will be on these three databases. This should allow us to add more features, much easier. One of the features we have in the queue is a data search screen that would allow you to find data within any table in the database.
